BAU 2027 at a glance
BAU runs from Monday 11 to Friday 15 January 2027 at Messe München, Am Messesee 2, 81829 Munich. Visitors can enter from 09:30 to 18:00 and exhibitors from 07:30 to 19:00. The organiser says the fair spans 19 halls at a single location: A1 to A6, B0 to B6 and C1 to C6, plus the ICM congress centre. Floor coverings sit in A5 and A6, wood in B5, glass and light in C3, digital solutions in C5, and the BLACK BOX experience hall is B0.
Hall plan and getting there
Start with the organiser's hall plan, which links an interactive floor plan and a PDF fairgrounds map. Check which entrance is closest to your hall; the organiser names Entrance East, Entrance West and, for navigation systems, Entrance North.
By public transport, take the U2 to Messestadt West or Messestadt Ost, both with direct access to the grounds. The S2 to Riem plus bus 190 also works: get off at Am Messesee for Entrance West or at Messestadt Ost for Entrance East. By car, the grounds lie directly beside the A94.
Set-up and dismantling
In all halls, set-up runs from 4 to 9 January 2027, 07:00 to 23:00 daily, and on 10 January from 07:00 to 18:00. Hall B0 has shorter days: 08:00 to 20:00 on 9 January and 08:00 to 18:00 on 10 January. On the last set-up day vehicles must leave by 18:00, while stand decoration may continue until 20:00. Dismantling starts on 15 January at 18:00 and ends on 19 January at 18:00, with shorter hours in B0 on 16 January, and cannot be extended. No special passes are needed during either period. Plans, rigging and technical orders
Messe München's Exhibitor Technical Service (TAS) approves stand plans. Send documents if the stand or advertising height is over 3 m, the stand is larger than 100 m², there are covered stand areas, or a vehicle is exhibited, which also needs the fire protection form 1.2. Rigging orders with a detailed load plan are due by 11 November 2026, and later orders cannot be guaranteed. Other technical orders go through the Exhibitor Shop, which the organiser lists for November 2026.
How we build for BAU
Our stands are produced in our own 6,000 m² production facility and installed by our own crews, so one company carries your design from drawing to handover. That helps at BAU, where vehicles must be gone by 18:00 on the last set-up day and the 3 m and 100 m² thresholds decide whether a stand plan is needed at all.
